Our wedding venue, Stone Crest Cellars, has the beautiful Oregon Coast for its backdrop, but it does not have easy beach access. Since I wanted to have photos in the sand we decided to do our “First Look” at the beach house, instead of during the ceremony, so we could stop at the beach on the way to the venue.
After the big reveal we piled into cars and headed to Nye Beach.
Our bridesmaids and groomsmen were troopers, trekking through the sand with us.
Unbeknownst to us, Dennis’ mom, Ruth, and her fiancee, Twan, had rented a condo on the cliff above our photoshoot. Twan got some great shots of us!

After the beach photos, which mostly involved trying to keep my veil out of everyone’s faces, we headed back to the cars. Adie drove Christy and I to the venue, while Jason drove Dennis and Lu.
We arrived at the venue about 20 minutes before the guests so we had a few minutes to grab some bridal party shots.
This photo is my favorite. Shortly after it was taken we headed inside to prepare to walk down the aisle. On to “The Wedding: Part 3“!
